Valley House can still be seen today with its five light coved mullion windows. The former farmhouse is on the Provisional List of Buildings of Architectural or Historical Interest (issued Sept 1965) as a Grade 2 listed building. The Tithe maps show a nearby field name as "Kiln Hey" which suggests bricks were made there. The house was built around 1638 of brick and sandstone.
