METHODIST CHURCH (Picture 2 exterior view)
In 1954 the Methodist congregation had increased and services were held in Aintree Davenhill School. So it was with great joy that a new church was soon to be built. The foundation stone was laid on 25 September 1954 and the day of dedication was 10 December 1955.
Mr E R Hughes, a local butcher, kindly donated the first organ in memory of his late wife Katie. The church named a room in her memory, The Katie Hughes' room.
