MILL SQUARE Mill Square is the courtyard for Mill Cottages built around 1750, once owned by Lord Sefton to house his employees and their families. Mill Square was originally farm buildings; one was a cart shed, another a stable and others were open farm buildings. Outside on the building is a stone tablet with the date “JET 1765”. Although the property has been converted into modern accommodation it has not lost its “olde world” charm.
