What does the Parish Council do?

Aintree Village Parish Council owns and manages the Harrow Drive Playing Fields and employs grounds' staff to maintain the high standards of the park. The facilities on offer to the public include two full size football pitches, a bowling green and pavilion, crazy golf course, a "trim track", three tennis courts, basketball, two children's play areas, one for toddlers up to eight years of age, the other for children aged eight to twelve. There is also an enclosed area used for additional tennis and roller hockey etc.
The Parish Council also holds the lease of the private footpath around Aintree Racecourse and pursues issues on behalf of residents and to improve the infrastructure of the Parish. Our nine Parish Councillors are the eyes, ears and voice of the community as all councillors are also local people residing in the village.
