The Parish Council is very proud of its beautiful bowling green; our Park Manager and his staff work tirelessly keeping it in top condition. Aintree Harrow Bowling Club use the green during the playing season and are always very complimentary to our staff for their efforts. Unfortunately of late our bowling green has been plagued by a gang of young men, aged approximately 17-18 years of age, who think it is acceptable to damage the perimeter fence to gain access into the locked bowling green area. Once inside they play football on the green, causing damage to its surface. Not satisfied with this criminal damage, they have recently smashed part of the pavilion verandah and pipe work on the building.
If you live in a property that overlooks the green or are visiting the park when these attacks occur, could you please phone Sefton Security ( 0151 933 6107)and ask them to train the CCTV camera on the green; or call the Police (0151 709 6010). We cannot let these mindless, disaffected people continue with this disrespectful behaviour.
